The application teaches women the proper technique of breast self-examination with simple understandable steps and related images, highlighting the signs of the disease that should draw their attention. It also contains a short educational video to illustrate the technique of self-examination and to give women a clear idea of how quickly and easily this can be performed.
Through BreastAware app, women have the ability to set reminders for both the recommended monthly self-examination of their breasts and for their mammogram. So periodically a woman receives on her cell phone notifications, in order to include into her everyday life the screening for breast cancer, which can save her life.
